Dr. Eric R. Henderson is the Medical Director of Sarcoma & Connective Tissue Oncology at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center of the University of South Florida Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is also the Research Director of the Department of Orthopaedics and a physician of orthopaedic surgery at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in the US. Dr. Henderson is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Geisel-Dartmouth School of Medicine as well.
Dr. Henderson completed his medical school training at the University of South Florida and underwent his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Florida. He went on to complete his fellowships in Orthopaedic Oncology at Harvard Medical School in the US and Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli in Italy.
Dr. Henderson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, International Society of Limb Salvage and Association of Veterans Affairs Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Henderson has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in international scientific journals. He is also a reviewer of Skeletal Radiology, BMC Cancer, Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
Dr. Henderson holds 10 US patents for innovative surgical technique and devices. He has given more than 10 international, national and regional invited presentations.
His current research projects on “Multimodal Fluorescence” and “Near-Infrared Molecular Surgical Imaging” have received NIH funding.
