Announcement of AOJ New Co-Editor-in-Chief

The editorial office is pleased to announce that Dr. Albert Lin is taking on the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Joint (AOJ) in tandem with Dr. Dongquan Shi and Dr. Shiro Ikegawa, effective from February 2024. Please join us in wishing Dr. Lin all the best in his new role!

Albert Lin, MD, is Professor and Vice Chair of Education, Residency Program Director, Chief of Shoulder Surgery, Co-Director of the Pittsburgh Shoulder Institute, and Associate Chief of Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Lin specializes in the care of athletes and shoulder conditions, and has extensive experience with shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder arthroplasty, and complex reconstructive and open surgery of the shoulder.

Dr. Lin is an active committee member of AAOS, AOSSM, ASES, ISAKOS, AOA fellowship coalition, the AUC rotator cuff committee of AAOS, and was recently inducted to the prestigious Herodicus Society and ASES Neer Circle in 2022. He is a founding board member of the international Rotator Cuff Study Group and is a regular invited faculty member for AAOS, ASES, AOSSM, AANA, ISAKOS, and MASES. He was the co-chair of the ASES Fellows’ Day 2021 and 2022, and is the current vice-chair of the shoulder and elbow program of the OSET Summit Meeting since 2022.

We are excited to have Dr. Lin in the new position to build on the work and to add brilliance to AOJ, and for the journal to reach new heights. We believe that the journal will achieve a higher standard and greater prestige under the joint leadership of Dr. Shi, Dr. Ikegawa and Dr. Lin.
